Strong demand for property loans
The demand for home loans is still very strong as reflected in the latest statistical bulletin released by Bank Negara Malaysia.
Property loans for September this year totalled RM4.57 billion, slightly down from RM4.85 billion recorded in September 2002. Still, the former constitutes 35% of the RM13.2 billion in total loans approved for that month. In comparison, the RM4.85 billion made up 34% of the RM14.29 billion in loans approved for September 2002.
